Badminton triples is exactly what it sounds like: three players against three players on one badminton court, following the same rules of a standard badminton game. For both the serve and the rally, you use the doubles lines.
Usually, there will be 2 players in the back and 1 player in the front, but during the rallies, the players have the option to move anywhere on the court.

Rules of Badminton Triples
The scoring system in badminton triples is the same as every badminton game: 21 points to win the game. But each time the shuttlecock is returned, another teammate needs to hits it. For example, if you return a serve, you must not hit the shuttlecock if it comes back again. So, you have to pay attention to your teammates in order to get out of their way.
Badminton triples are played on the same court as a regular doubles match, but they have 3 positions: right backcourt, left backcourt and frontcourt. When the score is even, the front players of both teams have to stay on the right side. When the score is odd, front players need to switch to the left side.
The normal rules still apply, except that there are three people on the court. Low-level triples can appear much like high-level doubles with little lifting, but plenty of fighting.
When a team wins a serve, they have to rotate clockwise. Meaning, the player that was on the left backcourt position will be the one who serves.
The problem with this rule, though, is that you can only ever serve two of the other players. One way to deal with this is to just switch up the starting lineup at the start of each game.
